YOUTH

Welcome to GTSM: Ministry for Grades 7-12

Our mission is to partner with parents and guardians to develop biblically sound 7th-12th grade students who reflect Christ’s character.

Glad Tidings Student Ministry (GTSM) is where students in grades 7–12 find real community, lasting purpose, and a faith that’s their own. These junior high and high school years are full of big questions, real challenges, and defining moments—and we believe this is the perfect time for students to encounter Jesus in a way that changes everything. Our desire is to create environments to challenge students in their walk with Christ, to get them into the Word of God, connecting with the body of Christ, serving in their local church and in their own youth services, and making an impact on this world for Christ.

In GTSM, students gather from numerous surrounding school systems to grow in their faith, build authentic relationships, and discover that they don’t have to navigate life alone. Through relevant teaching, passionate worship, and trusted leaders who care deeply, we’re creating a space where students are known, loved, and challenged to take bold steps in following Jesus.

This is more than a ministry—it’s a movement. We want students to not only grow spiritually but also live out their faith every day—at school, at home, and wherever God sends them. We’re raising up a generation of students who will be lifelong disciples of Jesus and who will love God deeply, care for each other genuinely, and live on mission passionately for Christ as they seek to make disciples as well.

GTSM is a place to gather. A place to belong. A place to know. And a place to grow.
This is where faith is forged. This is GTSM.

YOU. BELONG. HERE.

GTSM gathers regularly on Sundays, Wednesdays, and throughout the year for rallies, retreats, and fun outings and events.

Youth Service

Sundays | 9 AM

We believe in the importance of students worshipping God together and connecting with other believers their age, and the youth service is the primary place where that happens. Our GTSM Youth Service, located in the Student Ministries Center, mirrors the Family Service in format and includes youth-led worship and engaging, biblically sound sermons with practical examples and applications geared towards students. We also believe in the power of generations worshiping together and the importance of modeling a life of faith, so on the third Sundays of most months and on other special occasions, GTSM will not meet and instead remain in the Family Service with their parents, guardians, and families. We would love to have you join us on a Sunday!

Small Groups + Games

Wednesdays | Eat @ 6 PM + Meet @ 6:30 PM

The next phase of how we build disciples of our 7th-12th graders is through our small group sessions on Wednesday nights. GTSM gathers at 6 PM for a meal and at 6:30 PM for Small Groups + Games, which allow us to do two very important things: connect students to the Word of God and connect students to each other. We gather in two semesters from August to November and then from late January to May. Students are greeted by Adult Leaders and are quickly connected to other students where they have an opportunity to game on our Nintendo Switch, play 9 Square in the Air, try their hand at Jungle Pong, shoot some hoops or pool, or try a variety of other activities. Once the session starts, students will try and make the Impossible Shot, play a large group game, and then break into their Small Groups to study the Bible in meaningful and applicable ways with students their age and with Adult Leaders. Each month, we also host one Wednesday night “Big Night,” which is an evening where we have fun and fellowship and encourage teens to invite and bring their unchurched friends. Don’t miss these Big Nights: The Great Inflation, Bingo Night, Silent Disco, Archery Tag, Water Wars, and more!!! We would love to have you join us on a Wednesday!
