TEAM 56
Welcome to Team56: Ministry for Grades 5 + 6
Our mission is to partner with parents and guardians to develop biblically sound 5th + 6th grade students who reflect Christ’s character.
Team56 is a dynamic ministry at our Muncie Campus designed just for 5th and 6th graders—a unique and pivotal season of life where students are asking big questions, forming deeper friendships, and beginning to make their faith their own. This is more than just a class or a program; it’s a place to belong.
As a bridge between kids ministry and youth ministry, Team56 provides age-appropriate teaching, meaningful relationships, and intentional spiritual development to help students build a strong foundation in their walk with Jesus. We focus on connection—with God, with peers, and with trusted Adult Leaders who model what it looks like to follow Christ every day.
In Team56, students from a variety of schools and backgrounds gather together to grow, laugh, learn, and discover they’re not alone. Whether it's their first time or they’ve been here for years, every student is welcomed like family. We want Team56 to feel like home—a place to belong, to know, and to grow.
This is where faith comes alive. This is Team56.
Team56 gathers regularly on Sundays, Wednesdays, and throughout the year for rallies, retreats, and fun outings and events.

Service + Gathering
Sundays | 9 AM
During our 9 AM service on most Sundays at our Muncie Campus, Team56 students begin in the sanctuary with their families for worship and prayer. We believe in the power of generations worshiping together and the importance of modeling a life of faith. After this shared time, students are dismissed to a dedicated Team56 environment in Barlow Hall (located in the Student Ministries Center), where they can grow in God’s Word through engaging and interactive teaching and discussion designed just for their age and rooted in sound, biblical curriculum. It’s the best of both worlds—worshiping with the whole church family and then gathering to learn in a setting tailored to them. Games and activities are also often incorporated - directed toward creating meaningful connections and relationships. We would love to have you join us on a Sunday!
Small Groups + Games
Wednesdays | Eat @ 6 PM + Meet @ 6:30 PM
The next phase of how we build disciples of our 5th and 6th graders is through our small group sessions on Wednesday nights. Team56 gathers at 6 PM for a meal and at 6:30 PM for Small Groups + Games, which allow us to do two very important things: connect students to the Word of God and connect students to each other. We gather in two semesters from August to November and then from late January to May. Students are greeted by Adult Leaders and are quickly connected to other students where they have an opportunity to game on our Nintendo Switch, play 9 Square in the Air, try their hand at Jungle Pong, shoot some hoops or pool, or try a variety of other activities. Once the session starts, students will try and make the Impossible Shot, play a large group game, and then break into their Small Groups to study the Bible in meaningful and applicable ways with students their age and with Adult Leaders. Each month, we also host one Wednesday night “Big Night,” which is an evening where we have fun and fellowship and encourage teens to invite and bring their unchurched friends. Don’t miss these Big Nights: The Great Inflation, Bingo Night, Silent Disco, Archery Tag, Water Wars, and more!!! We would love to have you join us on a Wednesday!
